Random Thought

If someone was born in a certain area (oh, let's say they were born in Delaware), moved a bit in their first 12 (or so) years and ended up in another area (oh, for the sake of argument, let's say they ended up in Lansdale PA) and lived there for 30 years or more, would they be able to claim that they were native to that area?

are you not aware of the ruling in Pennsylvania which states that "when a person, who was born in another state moves to the great state of PA, then that person shall hereby be considered a native of said state after the 30 year period of residency has be satisfied."

Anonymous,

That is a very astute observation. However, I notice that you fail to miss a very obvious point in the great history of this area known as "Pennsylvania", which means "Penn's Woods". There are four areas which are known as Commonwealths (Kentucky, Virginia, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania). This dates back into England and the rule of law there. So it can be assumed that the legal specification upon which your hypotheses is based is faulty. So I must respectfully rquest that you go back to the chalkboard (or smart board, depending on your level of technical ability) and rethink the basic formula of your thought.

I have been in touch with your lawyer (the law firm of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe) through my lawyer (the law firm of Hungadunga, Hungadunga, Hungadunga, and McCormick). They have hammered out a writ of habeus corpus (more corpus than habeus, especially on my maximus gluteus) and assured me that I stand on legal ground (just as long as I am not lying down on the job).
So, sir, I recommend that you put it on the penultimate, not on the dipthonic.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to call my lawyer. His name is Rufus T. Firefly. He can be contacted at 215-368-4444 Extension 110.

Under the neon light of a foreign country, she leaned forward and whispered "wherever you go, there you are". After a smile broke the silence, she admitted that a change of address doesn't always equal a change of heart. The Commander leaned back, raised his glass and nodded in agreement.

In the half-sleep of possibility, the moment replayed with a casual sense of importance. "Let us order our coffee to go" she remarked as she played with her flower print scarf. The journey must continue for on some Saturdays we all wake up and want to go in search of America, the real America. The promise of a Norman Rockwell experience, a full tank of gas and the open road ahead beckoned the Commander. The America we knew as children before the sitcoms on TV painted the warm hues in our heart with the brush of shallow human apathy and mindless jokes at other people's expense.
