Entertaining the Church Youth Group

We are waiting for the youth group to show up from the church that Cindy and the girls go to. Note the time. Isn't this a little late for a junior high event to occur on a church night?

Random thought:

Why do people move to Florida when they get clobbered by hurricanes so much?

When most people move to Florida part of their brain shuts down and when selecting/building housing they trade fashion for function. It is extremely obvious that if your house is in danger of getting wiped out by a hurricane and you must go to a shelter-then why not build your own house with the same engineering/materials as the shelter? It is amazing that Florida contractors and insurance agents do not promote this. Even two foot thick walls can be tastefully decorated. Of course, there would be a higher cost to build this way but isn't it worth it so you do not have to rebuild a second, or third time, in the future? Also, the thought of protecting all your belongings would also be an incentive. But again, the trend is to put fashion before function as brainwashed Americans continue to give up practical procedures for "cuteness". Maybe someday I'll find a magazine called "Better Homes and Storm Shelters".
